The primary meaning behind the name Elohim is power or force of influence. Elohim is the infinite, omnipotent God, who demonstrates through His works that He is the creator, sustainer, and supreme judge of the world. “End the violence of the wicked and establish the righteous, O righteous [Elohim], who tests the minds and hearts” (Psalm 7:9).
