We tend to think that love is a feeling. That it is a burning fire in the heart. But according to the Bible true love is not a feeling, it is an action. Love is a verb. In John 3 the apostle continues to elaborate on the theme of love. He wants to make sure that his readers have understood what he has in mind when he talks about love.
