The first disciples thought that it is possible, even necessary, from time to time to fill up their tank with faith. So they asked the Lord Jesus to give them more faith. They were like us. They were thinking, if only they could have more faith, they would have been better disciples. We are like them. Often we are not satisfied with our lives. We have the feeling that we can do better. And we say to ourselves, “If only I could have more faith! I would have been a better disciple!” And, just like the first disciples, we say the same to God – give us more faith!
