It is a mandate that moves the church from a passive, comfortable gathering to an active, missional movement. The sermon culminates with the profound promise that while the task is daunting, Jesus will be intimately present with his followers—”even to the end of the age”—providing comfort and authority for the ongoing work of sharing the Gospel.
