The rabbis often used analogies in order to teach their disciples important truths. In chapter 13 Jesus tells 7 parables of the kingdom. He speaks about the beginning and the spreading of the kingdom, the resistance to the kingdom, the subjects of the kingdom and the culmination of the kingdom. Parables comprise d third of Jesus’ teachings in the gospels. What lessons do we learn from the parables in Matthew 13?
